Freedom Writers pt. 3

Today watched part 3 of Freedom Writers.

1. At parent-teacher conferences/ open school nigh. Why is Ms. G disappointed?
Ms. G was disappointed because none of the students parents had showed up there.

2.What stands out to you from the journal entries?
What stands out to me is that none of the kid's are not even safe in there own homes, the fact that the girl could not do anything to help her mom getting hit by her dad.

3. How did Ms. G react to what she read?
She thinks that she needs to help them so, she gets 2 more jobs to get books for the kids and to take them to a trip out of town.

4. Why does Ms. G get extra jobs?
She gets extra jobs to get things that the kids need for school, like books and supplies.

5. Because Ms. G united her class she was able to reach them and teach them better. Why do you think it worked that way?
Because if Ms. G knows what they like she can use these type of things to teach them in a way they can understand.

6. Ms. G and her dad take the students on a trip. Where do they go? How do you think it impacted the students? Describe what you saw.
Ms. G and her dad take the kids to a Holocaust Museum. I think it impacted them by the older people telling the younger people what had happened to them, know i think that the kids will look after there self's a lot more.

7. The students have rarely been given anything until Ms. G gives them notebooks, books and attention. How does this affect their relationship and education? Why does it make a difference?
This affect their relationship and education, she stayed with them when they did not feel like working, the student believe that the teacher really cares about, and they have never had any one to believe in them as much as she does.

8. Why did Victoria, the honors student, change classes? Do you think you would have done the same or not? Why?
Victoria had changed class because she was treated different for all the other students. Yes, because i would not like being in the other class if i was being treated wrong.
